The ‘Insperity Innovation Scholarship’ Returns to The Cannon
Insperity to sponsor one Houston startup or small business with free workspace for six months in the soon-to-be completed Cannon building.

Houston, TX: The Cannon, a coworking space and entrepreneurship hub in west Houston, today announced it is continuing its relationship with Insperity, a leading provider of human resources (HR) and business performance solutions for America’s best businesses, to launch another round of the Insperity Innovation Scholarship.
The winning Houston-area company will receive a free dedicated desk membership inside The Cannon for six months, providing an opportunity to connect with mentors, industry experts, entrepreneurs, writers, freelancers, developers, creatives and business professionals.
“We are so excited that Insperity has chosen to bring back this year’s Innovation Scholarship and will be rewarding another lucky Houston area startup with space in our brand new building,” said The Cannon’s Founder & CEO Lawson Gow, continuing “as one of our original partners, we are looking forward to another year of working with Insperity to fulfill a mission that we share – providing Houston area startups with all the resources they need to succeed and establish Houston as an exceptional place to start your business.”
Additional Information:
- The application period for this year’s Insperity Innovation Scholarship is May 15 through June 5, and the finalists will be notified on June 7. Finalists will pitch their company to a panel of judges on June 13, and the winner will receive a free dedicated workspace inside The Cannon starting on July 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
- Companies based in the Houston area with 3-8 employees are eligible.
